City, county tourism departments recognized in nationwide magazine

A national sports magazine has named the City of Rock Hill’s Parks, Recreation and Tourism department and the York County Convention and Visitors Bureau as a top choice for its readers.

SportsEvents magazine has ranked the local groups as one of its 2012 Readers Choice Award winners.

Both the York County CVB and Rock Hill PRT will be listed in this month’s issue of the magazine, which asked sports event professionals to name venues, organizations and tourism bureaus that are creative and responsible event hosts.
