Winstead: Resigning would be the coward’s way out
York County Councilman Eric Winstead faces DUI and open container charges after he was stopped by sheriff’s deputies while driving erratically on Chester Highway Thursday night.
The 39-year-old former pastor from York told deputies he was coming back from Columbia and stopped at a bar. According to the report, Winstead had an open bottole of Crown Royal in his car.
He was booked shortly after midnight at the moss Justice Center.
Winstead spoke Friday afternoon to WRHI’s Andrew Kiel sharing how this affects his personal life and where he’ll go from here.
