Mulvaney heading to Iowa to campaign with Perry

A South Carolina lawmaker on Capitol Hill who supports Rick Perry will spend part of next week in Iowa where the Republican presidential caucuses officially kick off the race for the nomination.

Fifth District Congressman Mick Mulvaney admitted Thursday on WRHI that Perry is, ” a lousy debater.”

Mulvaney said when Perry stopped in Rock Hill earlier this year, he didn’t shake enough hands.  However, he says that’s a good problem to have.

Mulvaney says he talks with Perry regularly, and recently hosted a dinner in Washington with the Texas governor to plan campaign strategy.
