North Charleston Police assist locked-out drivers
If you’ve ever locked yourself out of your car, you know how helpless you can feel. North Charleston officials are offering to assist people who get locked out of their vehicles through a program called Free Entry.
The North Charleston Police Department told WCIV in Charleston,
This really is hand and hand with building community trust. Whenever somebody locks themselves out of their vehicle, it’s not a good feeling, they need help. And, what better than a police officer to come help them out.
Drivers must provide proper identification and sign a liability release. No word if other cities will follow North Charleston with this initiative.
