Race forum highlights similarities, differences in Latin-American culture

Family traditions, food and music were among the topics Tuesday at a forum on Latin American culture sponsored by the City of Rock Hill’s No Room for Racism committee.

Tuesday’s forum, an annual event, highlighted differences in cultures and how the term ‘Latin American’ can take on many different meanings. No Room for Racism Committee chairman Barry Rubinstien.

The city’s No Room for Racism Committee formed in 1998 with the purpose of fostering relationships between diverse social, cultural and racial backgrounds.
