Sexton urges local fans to watch the games, which will be free to the public. He says the tournament is drawing dozens of teams with males and females between the ages of 14 and 19.
Sexton says there will be permanent and temporary bleachers for fans, and that others will need to bring lawn chairs.
The championships are conservatively estimated to have a $3 million economic impact. Sexton says there will be a lunch banquet on the 24th at the Charlotte Convention Center, during which the city of Rock Hill will be feeding 2200 to 2300 people. Sexton says more volunteers are needed, and interested people can go to cityofrockhill.com for more information.
