York County Tourism Leaders took part in the annual Grits Stop Friday at the South Carolina Welcome Center as part of National Tourism Week.

John Piper of Philadelphia, Pa.,  stopped in at the Fort Mill Welcome Center Friday morning on the way to Charleston and was pleased to see the Southern Hospitality.

Cole says that guests were excited to take part in some southern cooking.

Friday’s three-hour event featured local entertainment, hotel, and restaurant vendors….and, of course, grits. Cole says York County has brought in over 166-million tourism dollars to South Carolina.
