Gallo seeing significant progress in Chester County passing its phase one target of investment

Significant progress is being made with Gallo winery’s operations in Chester County. The nation’s largest winemaker announced plans to establish the project along Highway 9 in Fort Lawn back in 2021. According to the Charlotte Business Journal, Gallo’s investment has already exceeded 500 million and has surpassed its phase one target. So far, the winery has nearly 375 workers. The facility is 1.5 million square feet and houses a distribution center, bottling operations, along with four manufacturing lines where they make its popular High Noon hard seltzers and New Amsterdam vodka. Officials say another production line could bring the worker count to 400. Gallo only occupies 300 acres but own 640 in all. Estimates say upon full build out, Gallo’s investment over the next few decades will total 1 billion and 1,000 jobs.
