Long time community member and proud veteran Harvey Mayhill passes away at 81

A long time community member and proud veteran passed away this month. Harvey Cecil Mayhill was 81. He served his country in the United States Air Force from 1961 to 1965. After his military service, Harvey worked as a Manufacturing Engineer. He was deeply committed to serving his community as he was a Freemason, and also was a Quilt of Valor representative, along with being an advocate for the Old Glory Quilters of Rock Hill. Mayhill was alos a member of the Hames D.Wessinger Chapter 19 Disabled Amercian Veterans in Chester holding many ceremonies during Veterans day. A celebration of life will be held on January 4th at 11AM at Aldersgate United Methodist in Rock Hill. Barron Funeral home is in charge of the arrangements.
