Homeowners and renters in York Counties along with the tribal members of the Catawba Indian Nation who had uninsured damage or losses caused by the Hurricane are now eligible to apply for FEMA disaster assistance. FEMA sent a release Monday saying that it may be able to help with basic home repair costs, personal property loss, or other disaster caused needs. Jasper County was also added to the list. Along with York and the Catawba Indian Nation, they now join 20 other counties previously authorized for assistance to households. The quickest way to apply is to go online to DisasterAssistance.gov. You can also apply using the FEMA App for mobile devices or calling toll-free 800-621-3362.
