Chester fire takes two lives on Sunday

A 67 year old woman and 3 year old boy died after a fire to a home in Chester. It was located on Walker Street which is near the intersection of Pinckney and Center streets. Just afer 1AM Sunday, there were calls to authorities about a fire with flames coming out of a home. Three firefighters went inside the home and took three year old Logan Givens and his 67 year old grandmother Loretta Mills out of the home. Unfortunately they died to due injuries at a nearby hospital. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. According to our news partners at Channel 9, Mills lived in the home for 20 years and the boy would have turned 4 in April.
