Rock Hill Schools makes admin changes including naming new Rock Hill High and District Athletic Directors and Principal

This is the full release from the Rock Hill Schools.
On June 29, 2023, Rock Hill Schools’ Board of Trustees approved the following administrative changes for the 2023-24 school year as recommended by district leadership. We look forward to welcoming the following individuals to Rock Hill Schools.
Sara Sconyers will serve as an assistant principal at Rawlinson Road Middle School. Ms. Sconyers is currently serving as assistant principal at Old Pointe Elementary.
Northwestern High School announces Michael Abraham as Principal for the upcoming school year.
Abraham is joining Rock Hill Schools from Nation Ford High School where he has been serving as an assistant principal for two years.
He also has more than four years of administrative leadership experience as an AP at a middle school where he demonstrated a proven track record in successful school operations, instructional leadership and mentoring.Prior to joining school administration, he spent eight years as a high school teacher and athletic trainer. He also spent one year in Charlotte as a teacher at West Mecklenburg High School.
He earned a Masters Degree in Education Administration from Grand Canyon University and a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from Winthrop University.
Jimmy Duncan has been selected to serve as District Athletic Director. Duncan joins the district from Northwestern High School where he has been working as the athletic director for three years. He has successfully led students and coaches through state championships in addition to initiating mentoring and student athlete community service programs.
Duncan has also worked through garnering community financial support for a new weight room for Trojan athletes in addition to fundraising more than $100,000 each year for athletic programs.
Prior to his time in Rock Hill, he spent three years as an athletic director in Chester County.
He has 12 years of experience as a coach for various sports including basketball, football and track at both the high school and middle school levels.In addition to supporting student athletes and fundraising efforts, Duncan holds certifications from the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association and the National Federation of State High School Associations. Duncan also completed a Title IX Coordinator certification for K-12 and a Title IX Athletics Certification for K-12 grades.
He holds a Master of Arts in Teaching and a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Winthrop University.
Rock Hill High School announces Eric Rollings as Athletic Director for the 2023-2024 school year. Rollings has served as the Assistant Athletic Director at Rock Hill High School since 2007 and brings 28 years of educational and athletic experience in Rock Hill Schools.
He has served as Head Boys Basketball Coach, Head Girls Basketball Coach, Head Track Coach, and has been an Assistant Coach in Football and Softball. He also coached at the middle school level prior to coming to Rock Hill High School and currently serves as a Rock Hill School District Teacher Evaluator and Mentor.
Rollings earned a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education Winthrop University. In 1995, while at Winthrop, he was named National Association of Sport and Physical Education Major of the Year. In 2012, he earned a master’s degree in Athletic Administration, from Western Kentucky University and became a Certified Athletic Administrator through the NIAAA in 2012. Rollings is also a member of numerous professional athletic organizations, such as the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association, the South Carolina Athletic Administrators Association, as well as the South Carolina Coaches Association.
