Rock Hill Police Searching For Attempted Murder Suspect

Tuesday evening Rock Hill Police Officers responded to an apartment on Kevin Lane, in reference to a shooting with a female victim. Officers conducted a sweep of the residence to ensure no one was injured inside. During the sweep, officers observed blood in the living room to the apartment and what appeared to be hair laying in the kitchen however no one was found inside. Later, Detectives were notified as the victim arrived at PMC. The 24-year-old female victim advised her boyfriend presented a firearm during an argument while inside the apartment. The victim had a visible injury to her head which appears to be where she was struck by the firearm itself. The impact of the strike caused the firearm to discharge into the apartment. 25-year-old Dontrell Oshea Evans has been identifed as the suspect and remains at large. Warrants for Attempted Murder and for Possession of a Firearm or Knife During a Crime of Violence have been issued for Evans.
