Rock Hill man dies when his car collides with a tractor-trailer

The South Carolina Highway Patrol says a two-vehicle wreck in Lancaster County has left the driver of one of the vehicles dead.

Troopers say a tractor-trailer was struck by a Dodge Neon about 9:35 Monday night on SC 341 less than a mile south of the town of Kershaw.

The truck driver was not injured, but the Dodge Neon ran off the road and struck a tree.

The driver of that vehicle, 24-year-old Timothy Ryan Vinson of Rock Hill, died in the crash.

The Highway Patrol says he was not wearing a seat belt.
