Investigators looking into shooting death of Chester City Councilman

Deputies in Chester County are looking for clues today following the deadly shooting of a city councilman Tuesday.

The county coroner confirms that Odell Williams died of a gunshot to the head.

Sheriff Alex Underwood held a news conference this afternoon about Williams’ death.

He says it could be gang affiliation with the crime, and it was not domestic related.

More than 15 shell casings were found at the scene and several bullet holes were found in Williams’ car.

Underwood says the incident started somewhere else in the county.

Williams had been on the Chester City Council since 1997.
