York Police nab 4 in expanded DUI effort
A DUI enforcement effort this weekend in York netted four arrests for DUI between 10 p.m. Saturday and 5 a.m. Sunday.
York Police Chief Andy Robinson said one of the drunk driving arrests was the result of a crash, and though DUI enforcement was the main goal, several other citations and warnings were issued during the overnight hours.
“The York Police Department plans to try and have at least one such DUI saturation effort per month in an attempt to crack down on [drunk driving],” said York Police Chief Andy Robinson. “DUI continues to be a leading cause of death resulting from vehicle crashes in the State of South Carolina.”
Robinson said additional officers were scheduled to work the expanded enforcement efforts.
Good job Andy.
