The Rock Hill Economic and Urban Development Department recently held a planning workshop on the feasibility of a Street Car for Rock Hill.

The Textile Corridor master plan was approved by Rock Hill City Council in 2003 and endorsed by various agencies and organizations.  David Warner, Textile Corridor Marketing Manager speaks of the downtown trolley, one of the tools that can be used in conjunction with the plan.

Assistant County Manager Anna Hubbard gives us an update on the project.

"Walkable Urban Development" is a key goal in the revitalization of the Downtown area... an "urban hub" which connects neighborhoods and businesses into a critical mass of activity. In order to further bring this vision into focus, it's important to understand "walkable urban" and "drivable suburban" development and the history of both.

Stephen Turner, executive director of the Rock Hill Economic Development Corporation speaks about the need for further focus on residential areas.

 The York County Regional Chamber of Commerce recently partnered with the internet job site to promote the various companies associated with the chamber... and the jobs currently being offered.  CEO of Nation Job, Ralph Halick, on the specifics of the site and the services associated.

Rock Hill city officials recently gathered to celebrate the progress of "green" buildings.  A total of 40 "green" homes are planned for the Hagins-Fewell Neighborhood and Housing and Neighborhood Services Director Ray Koterba tells us about the homes and the scope of the project.

The financial institution officially opened its first branch in Rock Hill. Rock Hill native Andy Douglas is the president of the Palmetto Bank. He tells us about the history of the bank and all about the new office.

Founded in 1948, SEM manufacturers a broad array of specialty aerosols, adhesives and coatings for the automotive, aerospace, marine and industrial markets.  SEM is moving into the former Kings Electronics site.  CEO Steve Fussy talks about the company and why they chose to make the move to Rock Hill.
