The Black Male Summit

~ Respecting the Past, Building Our Future~

Clinton Junior College, 1029 Crawford Rd. in Rock Hill

In collaboration with the Black Male Summit Committee of York County.

Keynote speaker for the day-long event will be Dr. Ronald S. Rochon, Dean, School of Education and Associate Vice President for Teacher Education at Buffalo State University.

The summit is FREE and begins at 8:00 am with registration and a continental breakfast but is limited to the first 200 registrants.

The theme for the event is “Respecting Our Past, Building Our Future” Black men, young and old are encouraged to attend this historic event. The summit is an attempt to bring Black men together to promote taking responsibility for our lives and to find solutions to our challenges.

Among the multiple workshop topics for the day will be:

“Being Smart is not being White”, “All the N----‘s in the House”, “Getting involved in your Community”, “The Importance of Fatherhood”, “Are you a Leader?”, “Proper Diet and Exercise”, “There is Hope” and several other important subjects.

The program includes lunch and concludes at 2:00 pm with free admission to Clinton Junior College women’s and men’s basketball games for teen participants, (adult summit participants will pay $2.00 for admission to the games).
