One Suspect Caught Another On the Loose In Monday Night High Speed Chase From Charlotte To Chester

Deputies in Chester County were searching for a man and woman after they led police on a high-speed chase from Charlotte to Chester Monday evening. The pursuit started in north Charlotte when CMPD noticed the license plate on a car came up as a stolen vehicle from Virginia. Police tried to pull it over, but the driver refused to stop. According to deputies, the chase reached speeds of 115 MPH. The vehicle eventually came to a stop on Deer Branch Road in Chester County, just south of the the Fort Lawn area near Highway 21. Authorities said a man and woman in the vehicle got out and ran into the woods. A short time later the woman was caught by police. York and Chester County sheriff’s deputies set up a perimeter and were searching the area near High Tower Road. Nearby residents were asked to remain cautious and to report any suspicious activity.
