SC-DHEC, Wednesday afternoon announced 197 new cases of COVID-19, the lowest single day increase since May 28th. However, the low number is partially due to a temporary reporting delay of electronic lab results as we make improvements to SC-DHEC’s internal database for tracking test results, both COVID-19 test results and other disease test results.

York County had 8 new cases, it’s lowest number since early June. Lancaster County had 3 cases and Chester County had 0. 1,252 people were tested for the virus on Tuesday with 15.7% testing positive.

21 additional deaths were also announced. The death total is now 3,186.
