Coronavirus cases remain below 1,000, percent positive rises to 20%

Cases remained below 1,000 for the second consecutive day as SC-DHEC announced 928 new cases of COVID-19. The percent positive on the other hand, which sat at 12% percent for two consecutive days rose to 20% with 4,648 people tested statewide on Monday.

York County had 45 cases, Lancaster County had 23 and Chester County had 20. The recovery rate for the coronavirus rose from 89% to 91%. That means of the 101,360 cases since the pandemic began, there are roughly 8,941 active cases, 90,407 people have recovered and 2,012 people have died. The death rate is 1.98%.
