Both cases and the percent positive were up Wednesday as SC-DHEC announces new coronavirus numbers. 1,666 new confirmed cases were reported. There were 40 in York County, 17 in Lancaster County and 19 in Chester County. 8,360 people were tested for the virus on Tuesday and 19.9% tested positive.
48 additional confirmed deaths were also announced with one dating back to July 10th. The numbers included an elderly individual from both York and Chester County.
There have been 85,423 cases since the pandemic began and the recovery rate is 90%. There have been 1,551 deaths and the death rate is 1.8%
