The Carolina Panthers have closed on two additional parcels of land that border their team headquarters property in Rock Hill. That according to real estate records acquired by the Charlotte Business Journal who said the first was a 5-acre parcel that sold for $1,000,000.
The second property, located along Waterford Park Drive, is 10 acres and was sold for $70,000. That property is adjacent to the Waterford Golf Club, which was purchased by the Panthers earlier this year for $2.3 million.
Part of York County’s incentive package approved back in March included pre-approval for over 800 acres of property surrounding the site.
The package stated that if a land owner chose to sell his or her property, the Panthers would then receive the same incentives as the 200-acre headquarters property. This week’s land purchases mean the Panthers own over 450 acres of land in Rock Hill.
The properties are owned by Panthers affiliated entity, GT Real Estate Holdings.
