SC-DHEC announced 285 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday, bringing the state total to 12,415. 27 of those cases were from Lancaster County, bringing their total to 166. The new cases also included 7 from York County and 4 from Chester County. York County has a total of 421 cases and Chester County has 87.
SC-DHEC is estimating an 85% recovery rate from the virus. This means there are roughly 1,781 active cases of COVID-19 and over 10 thousand people have recovered. 3,100 people were tested for the virus in the state on Monday and 9.1% tested positive.
SC-DHEC is also reporting 1 additional death. It occurred in an elderly individual from Horry County. The state’s death total is now 501
