Winthrop University announces changes for fall semester
Much like other state Universities, Winthrop has made the decision to change its fall 2020 academic schedule, due to the coronavirus. The changes include no Fall Break, the conclusion of face to face classes before Thanksgiving break and remote instruction for the remainder of the semester.
Interim President George W. Hynd said they felt that this move would help keep students and employees safe while continuing to deliver the best learning experience. Winthrop is planning for the majority of classes to be on campus in the fall, but some courses will need to be shifted online.
