Daniel High School Offensive Coordinator Page Wofford, is the new head coach at Northwestern. Wofford, who previously was an assistant coach with the Trojans from 2012-2018, takes over for James Martin who resigned in April. In addition to Daniel and Northwestern, Wofford was offensive coordinator at Hanahan High School and was an assistant coach at Wando High School. His teaching roles have included serving as an Assistant Principal while at Wando. Wofford played high school football at Stratford High School in Goose Creek.
The Winthrop University graduate credited his former boss, Kyle Richardson, for helping teach him the “Win Today” program, which he took to Daniel and helped transform a 2-8 team (in 2017) to an 11-2 team last year, including an upset of 4-time defending champion South Pointe in the playoffs. Athletic Director Lauren West noted that while the process has been a long and winding one, she is confident that they found the best possible person to lead the Trojans moving forward.
