According to a report, a man was injured last Thursday after jumping from the second floor of the Brittany Place apartments in Rock Hill to escape a fire.
The man was taken to Piedmont Medical Center where they treated his injuries from the leap. His injuries are not life threatening.
According to Mark Simmons, deputy chief of the Rock Hill Fire Department residents of both the upstairs and downstairs units were displaced due to the fire and water damage.
Flames were visible on the second floor when firefighters arrived on scene. The apartments are north of West Main Street, between Heckle Boulevard and Herlong Avenue.
The Rock Hill Police Department and other York County agencies assisted.
