City sets trap after coyote confronts man, bites dog

Tega Cay officials set five coyote traps after a man who was jogging was confronted by a coyote on July 7, city officials told  The coyote that encountered the man also bit one of his two dogs.

The traps were set in two locations, and officials captured three coyotes.  The traps were set at Lookout Park and the Stonecrest Greenway.  The trapper handled the capture and euthanization of the coyotes. officials said.

The coyote did not break the skin of the dog it attacked, and the dog is OK.
