The man accused of shooting four York County law enforcement officers, killing one of them, was released from the hospital Thursday morning.

Christian McCall, 47, has been at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte since the shooting on Jan. 16.  McCall is now in the custody of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department and must undergo an extradition hearing.

Montrio Belton, McCall’s attorney in South Carolina, told Channel 9 there will be a hearing at 1:30 p.m.

Friday at the Mecklenburg County Courthouse.  Belton said there will be a proceeding Friday night in South Carolina if McCall waives extradition. But if McCall chooses not to waive, then the South Carolina procedure will be put on hold.
