The Rock Hill Economic Development Corporation and Rock Hill City Council held a joint meeting yesterday at the Rock Hill Operations Center on Anderson Road where the RHEDC recapped 2017 and laid out their new 5-year plan and goals for 2018.
Much of the 2018 goals focused around Knowledge Park. Stephen Turner, Director for the RHEDC said Knowledge Park is not just a geographic area, but a new way of thinking about economic development in Rock Hill.
Part of the RHEDC plan is to inform the public on the goals of Knowledge Park. Turner said there will be a public kickoff meeting in mid February.
7 study groups will meet from February to May to develop plans and recommendations. and those study groups will present their findings at a public meeting in June.
