It gives a whole new meaning to the term “Hot Peppers” . Fort Mill Police are now investigating a possible theft of four peppers but these are not just any peppers.
The peppers in question are world record peppers that may have been stolen from a field on Coltharp Road and US 21 in Fort Mill owned by the Puckerbutt Pepper Company.
Media outlets report that a PuckerButt employee mailed photos of the peppers that appeared to be mailed to a California company with a Rock Hill postmark.
The police report does not implicate the California company in the theft or mailing.
