GOP candidates for SC’s 2016 ballot now official

14 candidates will be listed when voters head to the polls on February 20. The list that the state GOP forwarded to South Carolina’s Election Commission on Monday does not include Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker and Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal. Both men filed to be on the ballot this fall, but withdrew from the race. The candidates will be listed in alphabetical order, meaning Jeb Bush’s name will be first and Donald Trump’s will be last. The campaigns paid a $40,000 filing fee with the state party to be included. That money was not refunded when the candidate dropped out. Democrats will submit their candidate names next week.
