Supporters of $90 million bond referendum launch information campaign
A group trying to convince voters to approve a nearly $90 million bond referendum in York County November 3 kicked off its information campaign today.
The money from the bond referendum would upgrade and expand the Moss Justice Center and add new family court facilities at the Heckle complex in Rock Hill, among other projects.
16th Circuit Solicitor Kevin Brackett says if the bond referendum is defeated, the effect will be catastrophic.
“My ability to keep you safe and your property safe and to process the people that the sheriff is arresting through the courts is going to be directly impacted if we do not increase the space and allow for growth in my office in the future,” Brackett said.
An open house at the facilities that would be improved by the bond referendum is scheduled for Sunday, October 18 from 2 to 4 p.m.
