STATESBORO, GA—The Winthrop Lady Eagles’ soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision Wednesday night at Georgia Southern.

Winthrop began the second half with Taylor Walton firing wide at the 46th minute. Duncan came up big again with two more saves in the 58th and 59th minutes after a flurry of Georgia Southern shots. Momentum continued Georgia Southern’s way when Wittick scored minutes later to give her team a 1-0 lead.
