Two local residents share Piedmont Medical Center EMS Hero Award
Rock Hill’s Piedmont Medical Center today recognized two local residents with the EMS Hero Award.
Raymond Fosdick and Thomas Hardison responded quickly back in April after their neighbor, David Plunkett, was severely injured in an explosion while working on his lawn mower.
Fosdick and Hardison put tourniquets on Plunkett, who lost an arm.
Piedmont EMS Assistant Chief Robert White says the heroic actions of Fosdick and Hardison saved Plunkett’s life.
During today’s ceremony, Plunkett thanked everyone.
Piedmont’s EMS Hero Award recognizes civilians who in a time of crisis step in and take heroic action to help someone in distress.
