A man in critical condition after being shot in Lancaster County is now facing murder charges.
Lancaster Police say 29-year-old Jermaine Grier fatally shot his brother-in-law, 48-year-old James Hood, late Tuesday night.
The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office says later last night, Grier shot and assaulted a female relative, chasing her to another residence.
That’s when Grier was shot by the homeowner, and is in critical condition.
The female victim was treated for minor injuries.
Grier faces charges of murder and possession of a firearm while committing a violent crime in connection with Hood’s shooting death.
Grier is also charged with attempted murder and first-degree burglary in connection with the shooting and assault of his female relative.
