Amid the stellar greens of Augusta National, Molly Hardwick completed her first full year of playing the game of golf with a dream performance at the hallowed course. She finished sixth out of the 11 finalists in her age category at the First annual Drive, Chip and Putt Championship.
Hardwick, who took golf up last year, won a local qualifier in North Carolina before winning the regional last August. By winning the regional she joined 87 other children ages 7-15 who made the finals.
As for the competition, she scored a seven in the drive portion, a three in the chip, and an eight in the putting segment to gain a total score of 18.
Molly finished her first year with 12 top-five finishes (out of 13 she participated in), four wins, and won the 8-9 year old player of the year award for the USA Kids Winter Tour.
