Early morning fire displaces 9 from boarding house

A fire early this morning that displaced nine people at a Rock Hill boarding house is being investigated.

Battalion Chief Rusty Myers says the fire broke out about 1:15 a.m.

Twenty-seven firefighters responded to the blaze on Crawford Road and took about 45 minutes to put it out.

There were no injuries.

The damage to the boarding house is estimated at $70,000.
