The Boys and Girls Clubs of York County brought in $42,000 at the organization’s annual fundraiser Thursday night.
The group’s annual Stakeholders’ Dinner attracted hundreds to the Magnolia Room and Laurel Creek in Rock Hill.
Clubs chairman Todd Lumpkin said while the Boys and Girl Clubs’ mission has changed over time — Thursday’s celebration was one of the kids and their accomplishments.
“It used to be you went and played pool and had fun and learned some life skills,” Lumpkin said. “Now we’ve got some really intense programs.
