The countdown to the South Carolina Gubernatorial Election is on and democratic candidate Vincent Sheheen is putting out some of the first jabs of 2014.
The state senator from Kershaw is taking aim at Governor Nikki Haley’s spending bill on education and efforts to stop the expansion of Medicaid.
In a meeting with Columbia business leaders, Sheheen called Haley’s efforts to fund education a political ploy and her stance on Medicaid, “foolish ideology.”
Haley was also in attendance but did not address Sheheen’s concerns.
