York County Sheriff’s Deputies broke up an underage drinking party just 12 minutes into the new year Wednesday.

A Sheriff’s Office report says earlier that night, a 16-year-old girl was questioned by her parents and admitted to drinking with her friends at a home off Knightswood Road in Fort Mill.

The report says deputies knocked on the front door of the home and a neighbor, hearing the commotion, came outside and said the homeowner was in Virginia.

The homeowner’s daughter was arrested for contributing to the delinquency of a minor while five other teens at the home were cited for minor in possession of liquor.
