An early morning fire Friday destroyed a business on the south side of Rock Hill.

Firefighters were called to the Rock Hill Tire Company on Albright Road around 2:50 Friday morning and as crews battled flames for several hours.

Albright Road near Flint Street Extension was closed for the duration of the blaze.

Rock Hill Fire Battalion Chief Rusty Myers said the building has been deemed a total loss. Nor injuries were reported and investigators are now searching for clues as to the cause of the fire, which was likely exacerbated by mountains of tires stored in and around the building.

WRHI’s news partner WSOC-TV reports the owner said she did not have insurance on the building.
