While defying gravity and dodging others, employees at the student loan collection firm bought and subsequently donated nearly 300 kid-size bikes following the company’s annual bike race.

“You see the enthusiasm of the staff and the participation just by the way everybody is dressed up,” Williams and Fudge CEO Gary Williams said. “It’s all about giving to the community and caring for the people who are so much less fortunate than we are.”

Williams and Fudge employees raised funds throughout the year for the program, striking a deal this fall with Academy Sports to buy kids bikes at a reduced cost.

“And some folks just went out and bought bikes themselves,” Williams said.

This week, Rock Hill-based Comporium Communications took part in the toy drive, donating hundreds of toys to kids in need this Christmas.

If you would like to help, drop off a new, unwrapped toy at the WRHI studios, 142 N. Confederate Ave., Rock Hill, S.C. during normal business hours.

Financial contributions are also welcome and are tax-deductible. Please call 803-324-1340 for more information.
