A Rock Hill man is now facing severe drug charges following his arrest Friday for operating a methamphetamine lab.

York County drug agents have charged Richard Bailey, Jr., 35. of Lesslie Dale Road with Manufacturing Methamphetamine and Possession of Methamphetamine.

York County Multijurisdictional Drug Enforcement Unit commander Marvin Brown said officers were conducting an investigation into a possible lab at Bailey’s home and discovered an inactive one-pot lab in a bathroom.

This year, York County investigators have shut down 22 methamphetamine labs and have arrested 39 people on 174 associated charges.
