Dozens of people turned out Monday at the intersection of East Main Street and Elizabeth Lane as the last steel beam was lifted into place on the four-story professional office building called Fountain Park Place. Workers and others signed the 22-foot white beam before it was hoisted. Comporium owns the building, while Leitner Construction is building it. Across the street will be a public park being developed by the city of Rock Hill. Fountain Park Place will be completed next summer. The city of Rock Hill is also building a nearly 200-space parking deck adjacent to the building.
