Two Rock Hill men are now in custody following the shooting death of 34-year-old Johnny Ellison Thursday night on Green Street.
David Denorris Williams, 32, and Jaris Nigel Williams, 19, both brothers who live at on Carolina Avenue in Rock Hill, were arrested Friday following Ellison’s death Friday at Piedmont Medical Center.
Both men have been charged with murder, criminal conspiracy and possession of a firearm during a violent crime.
The two remain in custody at the city jail awaiting a bond hearing.
Both men were detained as persons of interest shortly following the shooting Thursday night, Rock Hill police spokesman Mark Bollinger said.
“The overnight investigation indicated their involvement, resulting in the charges,” Bollinger said.
Officers were dispatched to 839 Green Street at 8:17 p.m. Thursday.
Ellison’s death marks the first homicide in Rock Hill this year.
