They arrived back home to their families in the Carolinas three months ago — but now you have the opportunity and privilege to welcome home the 178th Combat Engineers Battalion from an eleven-month deployment overseas.
This coming Sunday marks the 90-day reintegration period for the 161 men and women based out of the Rock Hill unit.

Sunday’s celebration kicks off at 10 a.m. at the Winthrop Coliseum. The group arrived home May 31 at Eagle Aviation in Columbia.
While stationed overseas, the group was tasked with clearing roadside bombs in Afghanistan and training Afghani security forces.
