York Police say for the second time in less than a week, a child has run out in front of a vehicle and been struck. Police Chief Andy Robinson says Saturday afternoon about 3:12, a six-year-old girl ran out in front of a 1997 Ford SUV on Ross Cannon Street. Robinson says the child appears to have suffered a broken leg, but otherwise looked to be in good condition. The driver of the vehicle does not face any charges. Robinson says the York Police Department is urging parents to talk with their children and emphasize the dangers of crossing roadways before checking to make sure no vehicles are coming.
