York County Sheriff’s Deputies say there have been another round of car break-ins along Meadow Lakes Road and Wendy Road in Rock Hill.

Monday morning, deputies responded to 32 reports of car break-ins, where a group of unidentified suspects rummaged through cars, stealing a pair of binoculars out of one car and sunglasses and loose change out of another.

And in each case, all of the cars were unlocked.

“[There was] no forced entry,” said York County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Trent Faris.

A similar round of car break-ins was reported in early May in two subdivisions off Museum Road in Rock Hill. In those cases, thieves got away with cash, cell phones and various other electronics.

Several other reports of car break-ins were reported nearby within city limits of the City of Rock Hill.

York County Sheriff’s Deputy Kim Morehouse said the agency’s forensic unit responded to the scene, and as of yet, have not identified any suspects.
