Education and infrastructure were the hot topics Wednesday as business leaders, education officials and lawmakers from York, Chester and Lancaster County provided their input for the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce’s legislative agenda.

Duke Energy District Manager Rick Jiran  moderated the session and explained to WRHI where the process goes after today.

Lancaster County Chamber President Dean Faile bluntly told lawmakers to, “stop screwing around and get the gas tax right.

Supporters of a gas tax hike say it’s the only way South Carolina can address its road and bridge needs.
